Syrian army takes full control of Deir al-Zor from Islamic State

The Syrian army and its allies took full control of Deir al-Zor city in eastern Syria from Islamic State, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Thursday.
There was no immediate confirmation from state media.
