Pakistan, China formally oppose Trump's embassy move
State media in Pakistan and China published official statements opposing US President Donald Trump's decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem and recognize the city as Israel's capital, CNN reports.

“Pakistan shares the international outrage and is deeply concerned over the implications of this decision for international peace and security, especially in the Middle East. Pakistan calls upon the UN Security Council to take cognizance of this situation and take steps in accordance with the UN Charter,” the Pakistan Foreign Ministry's statement said.

Recognizing Jerusalem as the Israeli capital "will not advance US national interests. Nor will it further efforts to secure peace in the Middle East," China's main English-language state-run newspaper, China Daily, said.
