Turkey PM: US "pulled the pin on a bomb" with Jerusalem decision
The United States "pulled the pin on a bomb" in the Middle East with its decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Thursday (December 7).

Yildirim told a conference in the capital Ankara the move would "stir up a big catastrophe". He reiterated that Turkey did not recognise the move and renewed the Turkish government's call for Washington to revise it.

U.S. President Donald Trump reversed decades of U.S. policy on Wednesday (December 6) by recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, imperilling Middle East peace efforts and upsetting the Arab world and Western allies alike.
