Hundreds of Jews and Christians from more than 30 countries gathered at the Haas Promenade in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood on Sunday to pray, sing and dance for the well-being of Israel and the Jewish people.

The three-day Awake Jerusalem festival was organized by Eagles Wings in cooperation with other Christian and Jewish organizations. Speakers include deputy minister Michael Oren, Eagles Wings founder and executive director Robert Stearns, and International Christian Embassy Jerusalem vice president David Parsons.

The event is being streamed live to some 90 million people worldwide.

While reports warn of waning support for Israel by millennial Evangelicals, hundreds of young Christian leaders are present at the event.

Pastors from around the globe, many of whom are in Israel for the first time are attending the festival which is celebrating not only Israel’s 70th anniversary but also the 50th year since Jerusalem was unified.

In addition to stops all around Jerusalem, the festival will also held a prayer session in Bethlehem to show solidarity with the organization’s Arab Christian brothers and sisters.

“As representatives of God’s love, we want to build these bridges wherever we go,” Stearns said.
