The three suspects fled the scene and were apprehended after a search of the area.
Three Palestinians were arrested by Israeli police late Monday for throwing rocks at a bus headed toward the Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City, the Israel Police announced Tuesday.

A police spokesperson said physical damage was caused to the bus, but no injuries were reported from the incident.  The three suspects fled the scene and were apprehended after a search of the area.

"We will not allow anyone to harm citizens and flee from the law," the police said in a statement, noting they intended to prosecute the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.

The three will appear before a court today for a  remand hearing, with police continuing regular security measures around the Old City.
