Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responds to dance video leak with one of her own
Later that day, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a video of herself dancing beside her new congressional office.
Freshman New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez published a video of herself dancing to Ediwn Starr's "War! What is it good for?" outside her new Capital Hill office with the caption, "I hear the GOP thinks women dancing are scandalous. Wait till they find out Congresswomen dance too! Have a great weekend everyone :)."

Ocasio-Cortez's video was a response to an earlier post on Twitter of a leaked video of her dancing as a college student, in an attempt to embarrass the contentious, newly-sworn-in politician.

In the earlier video, shot while Ocasio-Cortez was a student at Boston University, she is seen spinning and dancing on a rooftop barefoot with friends.

The caption reads, "High School video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- Congratulations New York!"

The clip parodies the famous dance scene from the eighties cult classic The Breakfast Club.

Ocasio-Cortez retweeted the post on Friday with the caption, "You hate me coz you ain't me, fellas." The post was later deleted.
