Winograd gets private lawyer for High Court case
JPost.com Staff

The Winograd Committee has hired a private lawyer to represent it at the High Court of Justice against a petition by the military prosecutor, it was revealed on Monday. The committee chose private attorney Zvi Agmon over the State Attorney due to the conflict of interests that would ensue from the state representing two public institutions at the same time. The IDF has requested that the committee, which is probing the handling of the Second Lebanon War, send advance warning letters to officers and soldiers who may be harmed by the committee's findings, and even allow them to testify a second time in response, if necessary.
