A 30-year-old Israeli woman was under arrest Wednesday for allegedly trying to poison her 63-year old mother by giving her 100 sleeping pills in a fruit shake, police said. The mother, who collapsed after taking the drink, was unconscious in Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The daughter is suspected of locking the flat and going to her own room to sleep after her mother collapsed. Later, the mother's husband came home. Finding the house locked, he made his way into the apartment through a window, only to discover his wife lying unconscious. The suspect was remanded in custody by a Jerusalem court for eight days, and ordered to undergo psychiatric testing.
