The Knesset Education Committee has invited all relevant parties to the Knesset on Tuesday to discuss the twin education strikes currently paralyzing education in Israel. Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On and Education Minister Yuli Tamir are expected to attend, as are Senior Lecturers Union Head Prof. Tzvi Hacohen and Secondary School Teachers Organization Head Ran Erez. There were no negotiations to end either strike on Monday. Late Sunday night, a meeting hosted by Histadrut Head Ofer Eini ended without results after the Finance Ministry clashed with Erez regarding the details of the proposed education reform.
