Athletics: Rusian claims Israeli decathlon championship

Accumulates 6,629 points during two days of competition at Hadar Yosef and sets the second best score ever by an Israeli.

Hemed Rusian claimed the Israeli decathlon championship on Monday and set the second best score ever by an Israeli. Ruslam, who trains with Ironi Jerusalem, accumulated 6,629 points during two days of competition at Hadar Yosef. Yuri Peres (left) finished a distant second with 5,444 points and Muhand Naim was third with 4,924 points. Julia Puskarov won the women's heptathlon with a score of 4,138 points. Rotem Batat came in second (3,837) and Lital Filosof was third (3,834).
