In his first move as Hapoel Tel Aviv owner, Lev Leviev announced that outgoing Israel national team coach Avraham Grant will be the reds' next coach. "Avraham Grant will coach Hapoel Tel Aviv for the next four seasons," said Leviev's media advisor, Tal Rabina. Grant is set to take charge of coaching duties at the start of next season. Leviev completed the takeover of Hapoel only three weeks ago and is already trying to lay the foundation for future success. "Leviev is confident and certain that Grant will lead the team to success of European scale and beyond," said Rabina. "Leviev sees Hapoel as a long-term investment and therefore he has given Grant a four-year contract." Grant met Leviev for five hours Monday evening and the two discussed plans for the future of the team. The two agreed on financial terms and the contract is set to be signed in the next few days. It is rumored that Grant will earn in the region of half-amillion dollars per year. Grant will be replacing Dror Kashtan, who is going in the opposite direction and becoming national coach at the end of the season.
