Basketball: Katash steps down as coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv

Oded Katash stepped down as coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday, a day after the perennial champion was thrashed 104-86 by Ironi Ramat Gan in the BSL.
Tzvika Scherf is expected to take temporary charge of the team for Thursday's Euroleague match against the Turkish side FS Pilzen.
