Israel's visually impaired lawn bowls team will host England's national side in a string of events in the coming days.
The English team includes distinguished members, Joy Jarvis, MBE, president of the English National Association of Visually Handicapped Bowlers, and team manager John Newcombe, MBE.
The team, which will spend the entire week in Israel, will play the locals in a Test match and an Open National Pairs tournament, as well as friendly games against invited blind bowlers.
The games will be played in three different categories: B1 - totally blind and B2/B3 - partially sighted bowlers.
The Israeli team, which finished second out of the 12 countries participating at the last world championships held in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2005, will be fielding four of the players from that successful team.
