Noel Felix is expected to make his debut for Hapoel Jerusalem on Sunday night in the team's State Cup quarterfinal first-leg against Bnei Hasharon at Malha Arena. The 26-year-old forward, who played for Maccabi Tel Aviv last season, trained with Hapoel over the weekend after signing with the State Cup holder until the end of the season. Felix, who joins Jerusalem from NBDL side Anaheim Arsenal, was a massive disappointment in his time at Maccabi, averaging just 2.8 points and 1.1 rebounds in 12 Euroleague games. "I never would have guessed that I'd be back in Israel," Felix said after arriving at Ben-Gurion Airport on Friday. "I'm going to take one game at a time and hopefully I get to play and enjoy myself." Also Sunday, Danny Franco makes his coaching debut for Hapoel Galil Elyon in a quarterfinal encounter against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Hapoel Holon will be looking to open up a substantial lead ahead of the second leg when it hosts Ironi Ramat Gan and Ironi Nahariya visits Hapoel Afula/Gilboa.
