Games We Play: Ga'ash Golf Club hosts Blue Birdie tourney

The team of Yerucham Shafat, Danny Shevi, Gil Perez and Niv Rosenberg with 47 Stableford points won the "Blue Birdie" nomads club golf tournament at the Ga'ash Golf Club on.
In second place was the team of Linda Streit, Norma Kaufman, David Shimron and Ben Friedrich with 44 Stableford points.
The format of the competition was a "two to count" better-ball Stableford competition, 90% handicap played over nine holes.
In each team was a teenager from the golf academies of the Ga'ash and Ceserea Golf Clubs.
The teenagers also had a separate individual Stableford competition with 15 competitors including Asaf Cohen, Dor Hacham and Laetitia Beck, who were all back from the European Young Masters Tournament in Paris.
There was a very close contest between the young players. On 20 points were both Laetitia Beck and 13 year old Yair Friedrich, who have both made a mark in the world of golf, at a very young age.
The "Nearest to the Pin" prizes were also won by the teenagers with the prizes going to Laetitia and Niv Rosenberg.
The prize-giving ceremony and cocktail party was held at
the "Albatross" restaurant.
The next big event at Ga'ash will be the finals of the Israel "International Pairs" final sponsored by Rolex and UBank to be held on Tuesday.
