Rise Hi came back from a late six-run deficit to beat Aztek 8-6 in an amateur softball in Israel game at Kibbutz Gezer last week. Trailing 6-0 and with just five outs to go, Rise Hi rallied for five runs in the sixth inning and scored three more in the seventh for a great come-from-behind win over its arch rival. Rise Hi began its comeback in the sixth inning when, with one out, Beryl Thomas singled and Moshe Hamburg hit a long fly to deep center field that grazed off the glove of center fielder Ariel Gilor and went over the fence for a two-run homer. Consecutive hits by Naftali Schwartz, Zvi Harow and an RBI double by Earl Harow brought in another run and, following a single by Aaron Harow, a clutch, pinch-hit single by Dani Harow knocked in two more runs. After holding Aztek scoreless in the bottom of the sixth inning, Avinoam Bernstein singled to lead off the top of the 7th inning and went to third on a Thomas double to left. Both scored when Hamburg doubled down the left field line. Hamburg scored Rise Hi's final run of the inning when Zvi Harow drove him home with a single. Ed Harow pitched perfect sixth and seventh innings to pick up the win.
