Games We Play - Softball: CW rolls over TT

The CleanTech Warriors steamrolled Table-to-Table 18-4 at Gezer on Friday, improving to 4-1 on the season and setting up a duel with undefeated Rise-Hi for first-place in the softball league.
CleanTech arrived at full strength for the first time this season and hammered 21 hits as a team. Gershon Jacobovitch and Sendy Berger both had solid debuts as Warriors. Jacobovitch went 3-for-4 and collected four RBI’s to pace the hot CleanTech offense. Berger was impressive on the mound, coming in to close out the game after another stellar Meir Goldberg start.
Team elder statesman Joe Federman, returning from a career-threatening thumb injury, made his first appearance of the season. He showed no signs of rust from his absence, going 4-for-4 and scoring three times.
Aron Heller had a pair of doubles to go with a diving stab atshort, and came up just short of hitting CleanTech’s first homer of theseason.
Meanwhile, Rise-Hi defeated Neve Daniel 19-4 to remainperfect on the young campaign. Amiad Harow had four hits and a pair ofRBI’s for the victors, while Alan Tover hit a two-run HR and drove inthree.
Yoni Schwartz outdid them all, however, hitting for the cycle, while racking up three each of RBIs and runs.
