Olympic gold medalist Alina Kabayeva of Russia will lead a cast of 160 gymnasts from 24 counties at the fifth annual Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix this weekend in Holon.
The event is one of a series of eight Grand Prix competitions, the highest level the sport has to offer behind the continental and world championships.
The competition will consist of hoops, balls, ribbons and clubs.
There are four Israeli gymnasts scheduled to compete, with 2004 Olympian Katya Pizezky and Israeli champion Irina Risenson boasting the best chances to earn a medal.
Admission is free for the event, which will take place at the Katzir Sports Hall in Holon.
