Hapoel Beersheba soccer player dies after collapsing in training match

Hapoel Beersheba soccer player Chaswe Nsofwa died after collapsing during a training match at the team's Vasarmil Stadium on Wednesday. He was evacuated to Soroka Hospital but doctors were unable to resuscitate him. Nsofwa, who was part of the Zambian African Nations Cup squad in 2002, joined Hapoel close to the start of the new season. He scored two goals on his debut Saturday against Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan.
