Hapoel Tel Aviv fined NIS 180,000 for unruly fans during Bosnia match

The Disciplinary Committee of UEFA gave Hapoel Tel Aviv a fine of 50,000 Swiss Francs, approximately NIS 180,000, Army Radio reported Monday evening.
The fine follows an incident in Bosnia where Hapoel fans allegedly set fire to seats in the stadium during a match against Siroki Brijeg several weeks ago.
Fans claimed after the match that they lit fireworks to support their team and that the fire erupted by accident.
However, policemen were called to the stadium and Hapoel's fans were extracted. The club was expecting a far worse punishment than the fine given Monday, and there were even fears the team would be kicked out of UEFA.
