IFA prosecutor asks court to ban Betar fans from 8 home games

The Israel Football Association's prosecutor has asked that Betar Jerusalem fans be banned from eight home games as punishment for Sunday evening's incident at Kiryat Eliezer Stadium in Haifa, at which Betar fans booed and jeered during a moment of silence for slain prime minister Yitzhak Rabin. Betar chairman Eli Arazi said that if the IFA supreme court ruled in favor of the prosecution's request, he would appeal to the High Court of Justice.
