An Israeli lawn bowls team has been invited for the first time to play a series of three competitions to be held in China. Eighteen international teams will participate in the first international lawn bowls tournament China has hosted. The first competition is set to begin on the 4th of March in Hong-Kong, while the other two will take place in Mainland China. The four team members - Raymond Sher (captain), Colin Silberstein, Haviv Takin, and Dannie Slodovnik - are leaving Israel this coming Wednesday. "The invitation to the tournament constitutes one of Israel's first athletic connections with China," said Seymour Fisher, vice president of the Lawn Bowls Association of Israel.
