Local Soccer: Teenage Betar fans held for assault

Suspects were apprehended for attack on Kfar Saba fans outside of Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium.

Four Betar Jerusalem soccer fans were arrested Monday for allegedly assaulting fans of a competing team earlier this month, police said. Following "intelligence information," the teenage suspects - including three minors - were apprehended for the attack on Kfar Saba fans outside Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium, which included the stoning of a bus with Kfar Saba fans on board, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The minors were remanded in custody by a Jerusalem court Monday for three days, while the fourth suspect was placed under house arrest. Police said more arrests were expected in the case.
