A soccer player for Maccabi Haifa was arrested Saturday night under suspicion that he sexually assaulted a young woman from the Sharon area. The young woman complained that after her partner went to work, the athlete entered their bedroom and carried out indecent acts.
The soccer player denied the accusations. A decision was expected Sunday morning whether or not to extend his remand.
