Mekor was crowned champion after a 3-0 victory over Renaissance in the Jerusalem soccer league final.
The game started fast as both teams passed the ball well and Mekor took a 1-0 lead through a Renaissance own goal.
The Africans fought back, but it was a moment of sheer Cheski Steinhart brilliance that was the turning point. Running from defense, Steinhart skipped past three challenges before an unstoppable shot in the top right hand corner.
Renaissance, a four-time finalist searching for its first title, still continued to battle, but with defenders like Michael Chalamish and Amitai Pivko, Mekor was never going to concede.
David Ramati completed the scoring.
Renaissance's Binyomin Nussbaum was named player of the season and Akiva Goldblum was awarded manager of the season after guiding Mekor to its third title.
