Natanya Police arrested Maccabi Netanya soccer player Shai Biruk on Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police said that Biruk refused orders to stop his vehicle and was eventually caught at a Police check point.
Police officers who were chasing the soccer player claimed that he threw a bottle of an alcoholic drink from the window of his car during the pursuit.
