Swimmer Amit Ivri sets new Israeli record in 200m individual medley relay; Judoka Soso Palelashvili beats Turk Huysuz.

Following a day of mostly disappointing results for Israel at the London Olympic Games, two Israelis advanced to the semi-finals in their events in swimming and judo Monday morning.Amit Ivri set a new Israeli record in the 200 meter women's medley relay Monday morning. Ivri finished the race in 2:13:29, putting her in 12th place and allowing her to advance to the semi-finals Monday evening.Israeli men were not as successful on Monday, however. Gal Nevo failed to advance in the men's swimming 200 meter butterfly heat.Israeli judoka Soso Palelashvili beat Turk Sezer Huysuz in the men's 73kg Judo quarterfinals in Monday morning, but later lost to Japan's Riki Nakaya.Sergy Rikhter, however, missed qualifying for the next round in Olympic men's 10 meter air rifle shooting by one point. The shooters who finished in the top eight positions moved on the next round. Rikhter came in ninth with 595 points.
