Real Madrid to play mixed 'peace team' in Israel

The world-renowned Real Madrid Football Club will arrive in Israel on June 19th, 2007, to play a friendly match against the "Peace Team", a team comprised of high profile Israeli and Palestinian players and led by Israeli National Team Coach Dror Kashtan. The match is hosted by the Peres Center for Peace, and the players of the Spanish club will also meet Israeli and Palestinian children from the Peres Center for Peace's "Twinned Peace Soccer Schools" project during their stay here. The match will take place in Ramat Gan Stadium in front of an audience of approximately 40,000 people. Real Madrid's appearance in Israel will also include a historical moment for the team's star - David Beckham - who will, when in Israel, star in his last match ever with the Spanish club.
