Udi Gal and Gidi Kliger will enter the final race of the 470 Class sailing World Championships in second position after another successful day of racing on Tuesday. The Israeli duo, who finished their races in sixth and third places, respectively, are just three points behind the Portuguese team in first position and have already guaranteed themselves a top four finish, regardless of the outcome of Wednesday's race. "The competition is very tight and anything can still happen," Gal and Kliger said. "On Wednesday we have the medal race in which only the top-10 compete and the scoring is doubled. We are very experienced in these situations and we know how to handle them. We must be composed and continue our fantastic form on Wednesday because if we mess up, everything we have done so far will be worthless." Nika Kornecki and Vered Buskila will not contest the women's medal race after only ending Tuesday's races in 11th and 13th places, respectively, and finishing the competition in 17th place overall.
