Bnei Sakhnin captain Abas Suan will line up alongside Betar Jerusalem players Lior Asulin and Yoav Ziv, as well as Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, in Wednesday night's peace match at Winter Stadium in Ramat Gan. A mixed Betar and Sakhnin team will play the friendly match against a team made up of stars from the TV show 'Eretz Nehederet' (A Wonderful Country). Suan, who shot to prominence after scoring for Israel in a World Cup qualifier against Ireland last year, said he believes the event could have far-reaching implications. "When people talk about Betar and Sakhnin they speak about it as if it is a war, but now we want to show everyone that we want to be together," he told The Jerusalem Post. "We all want peace in Israel. Now we must start to be together. This is the moment." Also included in the squad for the game are Betar's Amit Ben-Shushan and Gal Alberman. Eto'o, who has been a long-term campaigner against racism in soccer, arrived in Israel on Tuesday on the trip organized by the Peres Center for Peace. In the evening, he held an auction of soccer-related items, including a pair of soccer shoes signed by himself as well as items autographed by Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo and Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho, to raise money for the Peres Center.
