Shahar Pe'er and Tzipi Obziler remain on course for a third consecutive meeting in the final of the national championships after both cruising through to the semifinals of the competition on Wednesday in Ra'anana.
Pe'er, who is ranked 20th in the world, defeated Ester Masuri 6-0, 6-1 in the quarterfinals and will be looking to finally regain the Israeli title after losing to Obziler in the last two finals.
Pe'er only returned from a training camp in the US on Monday, but nevertheless thoroughly outplayed her opponent.
Keren Shlomo (736) will face the No. 1 seed in the semis after defeating Victoria Tzaitlin 7-5, 6-0.
Two-time defending champion Tzipi Obziler (112) beat Doron Morvanik 6-0, 6-0 to book a semifinal meeting with Julia Glushko (893), who defeated Ilana Agranovic 6-1, 6-2.
No. 1 seed Noam Okun (178) advanced to men's semifinals after a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Amir Hadad (553). Ishay Hadash (635) will play Okun for a place in the final after surprising defending champion Dekel Veltzer (455) 6-4, 2-6, 7-5.
No. 2 seed Dudi Sela (202) will face three-time Israeli champion Harel Levy (286) in the semis after defeating last year's finalist, Amir Weintraub (562) 6-1, 7-5.
Levy reached the last four by beating Amit Inbar (582) 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 in Wednesday's quarterfinals and will look to regain the title he last won in 2002.
