Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich were defeated in the semifinals of the Rogers Cup late Saturday night, losing in straight sets to fifth seeds Paul Hanley and Kevin Ullyet 6-2, 6-3. The Israeli duo had beaten second seed Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi in the quarterfinals of the event in Montreal but were unable to make it to a second final in two weeks. Last week Ram and Erlich got to the final of the Legg Mason Classic in Washington, losing to Bob and Mike Bryan. On Sunday Novak Djokovic faced world number one Roger Feder in the final of the singles event after beating Rafael Nadal 7-5, 6-3 in the semifinals. The first set went to a tie break which Djokovic won to take a lead early in the match. Federer came back to take the second set 6-2 while Djokovic was 4-2 up in the third at press time.
