Hapoel Jerusalem showed worrying signs of returning to poor form on Tuesday night after losing to Oostende 82:66 in the group stage of the ULEB Cup. Dan Shamir's players were no match to the Belgians at home, and they trailed from the start. After scoring only 11 points in the first quarter, Hapoel found itself down by 17 early in the second but managed to bring down the margin to only 2 in the third. However, Israeli coach Sharon Drucker's team stepped up its game in the fourth leaving Hapoel far behind. Jerusalem must now win its next and final group stage match against Alba Berlin in Malha next week to clinch a spot in the next round. Me'ir Tapiro scored 15 for Hapoel while Dror Hajaj added 13. Rashard Wright made life hard for Hapoel, scoring 26 points and passing for seven assists for Oostende.
