Lahav forest: The Details

  • Estimated walking time: eight hours
  • Start: D'vir junction on Route 40. Bus 367 from Rishon Lezion or 369 from Tel Aviv
  • Finish: Shoket junction - Buses 27 and 28 from Meitar to Beersheba
  • Level of difficulty: Straightforward, but long
  • Length: 29 km. (including five km. from the Trail to Shoket junction along Route 60)
  • Map: Scale 1:50,000, Map 12 (southern Shefela and Hebron Mountain flanks)
  • Bring: Three liters of water per person, a sun hat, sunscreen cream and sturdy shoes. Include a compass (vital), mobile phone, large towel, first aid kit, penknife and a powerful flashlight.
