Due to the continued Israel Civil Aviation Administration strike, two flights to Turkey were canceled on Thursday. ICAA employees refused to perform safety checks on the aircraft, preventing them from taking off. About 60 ICAA employees are striking over new Transportation Ministry plans that threaten union members' wages and job security.
Thursday's flights, both of which were to be operated by Turkish Airlines, was scheduled to carry 336 passengers. The strike, already on its third day, will continue through Friday as well, Histadrut said.
