Northern flights to resume Sunday

Operating three flights daily, carried approximately 40,000 passengers to the north last year, compared to 120,000 in 2001.

The Transportation Ministry said Wednesday flights from Sde Dov Airport in Tel Aviv to the north of Israel would resume Sunday through tour operator Tamir Air Tours, which will operate three flights a day each to Rosh Pina and Kiryat Shmonah. Arkia stopped flying the route earlier this year. Tickets to Rosh Pina will cost NIS 217 for adults and NIS 148 for residents of the north, while those to Kiryat Shmona will cost NIS 299 per adult and NIS 188 for residents.
