Millions of Muslim pilgrims from the world over were performing haj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Sunday.Pilgrims collectively performed morning prayers led by an imam at the Great Mosque - Masjid al Haram.Sunday is the last day of the pilgrimage, celebrated with the Id al-Adha holiday. Muslims will travel to an open plain called Muzdalifa, between Arafat and Mina, to collect pebbles and throw them at pillars representing Satan.Around 2.5 million to 3 million pilgrims are believed to be in Mecca to perform haj, a duty that all able-bodied Muslims must undertake at least once in their lifetime.
