Pro-Palestinian activists marched through the West Bank city of Hebron.As they banged on a gate protecting the Old City, police responded with stun grenades, running out from behind the gate as protesters scattered.In a statement, the IDF said the march Tuesday turned into a protest, prompting the riot control tactics.With thousands of Palestinians living in close proximity to the small Jewish settlement, such clashes are not unusual in the divided city.Tension has risen in the West Bank and Gaza as Palestinians prepare to seek UN recognition for their state.
