Two far Right teens indicted for anti-Arab racism

Two 16-year-olds were indicted on Monday for racist attacks and arson on Jerusalem Day.

The two, along with other teens, yelled "Smelly Arab," and "Death to Arabs" at a local Palestinian man who lives in the Old City of Jerusalem. Several of them climbed the door to his garden, and the two who were indicted began to attack the man.

One of them broke a window with a piece of wood, while the other grabbed a washcloth from the man's laundry room, lit it on fire, and threw it at the entrance of the home. The latter defendant threatened the man with a stick and pushed him, causing him a minor injury to his hand.

All the while, during the attack, stones were being thrown at the house.

The house sustained significant damage, including a broken window, a beat up wall and damage to electrical cables. When they finished, the assailants fled the scene. 


Trump to speak with Netanyahu on Iran, WH confirms

President Donald Trump planned to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, a White House official said.

The call comes as Trump has been trying to accelerate aid into Gaza and has been trying to persuade Iran to give up its nuclear program.

Trump and Netanyahu will discuss Iran, a source close to Netanyahu told Reuters.

IDF kills 15 terrorists in Gaza on Monday

IDF troops in the 98th Division killed 10 terrorists while operating in Gaza, the military said Monday.

Additionally, soldiers from the IDF's 252nd Reservist Division struck and killed five terrorists.

In the last day, the Israeli air force struck dozens of targets throughout Gaza, including military structures, terrorists, anti-tank positions, terror tunnels, and other sites used by Hamas terrorists.


Fire breaks out in Ein Kerem area of Jerusalem, firefighters at the scene

A fire broke out in the Ein Kerem neighborhood in Jerusalem on Monday, Israeli media reported. 

Firefighting teams were at the scene, operating to contain the flames and evacuate residents.

Police officer, IDF soldier arrested in suspected drug trafficking scheme

An IDF soldier, a police officer, and a third suspect were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the trade and distribution of illegal narcotics, the Police Investigations Department (PID) said on Monday.

The three, all residents of Beersheba, are suspected of coordinating the distribution of the harmful substances through a Telegram group operated by the suspects, the PID added.

The suspects will be brought in front of a court on Monday to extend their detention.


A-G summoned to gov't hearing next Tuesday prior to dismissal

Turkey says Israeli interception of Gaza Freedom Flotilla violated international law

Turkey on Monday condemned Israel's interception of the Gaza-bound flotilla, which it said was carrying Turkish citizens as well as activist Greta Thunberg among its 12-strong crew, calling the move a "clear violation of international law."

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said the intervention threatened maritime security and "once again demonstrates that Israel is acting as a terror state."

 


Iran says 'no news' of new round of nuclear talks with US, criticizes new sanctions

There is currently no news regarding a new round of nuclear negotiations, Iran's Foreign Ministry said on Monday, and criticized the US for imposing new sanctions despite claims of easing them. 

“The claim of halting sanctions was untrue, and new sanctions have been imposed,” the ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, said.

“This contradictory behavior shows the US is not serious and increases our suspicion.”


Shas will vote to dissolve Knesset with opposition on Wednesday, party spox. says

Shas will vote on Wednesday to dissolve the Knesset, party spokesperson Asher Medina said in an interview with Kol Barama on Monday. 

The spokesperson cited the ongoing draft law crisis, noting that "The ultra-Orthodox public feels persecuted by the Likud and [Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Yuli] Edelstein."

Police searching for missing person on Sea of Galilee coastline

The Israel Police are conducting searches along the Sea of Galilee coastline after receiving a report on Sunday evening of a missing northern resident, the police said on Monday.

A maritime police unit has been dispatched to the area, with ground forces scanning the coastline.

The individual's personal belongings were discovered on Ein Gev Beach during a search on Sunday night.
