Canadian new house prices rose less-than-expected in October, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said its new housing price index inched up by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in October, below forecasts for a 0.3% gain and following a flat reading in September.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar was lower against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD adding 0.13% to hit 1.0603.
