Fire near Jerusalem's Givat Shaul neighborhood extinguished

Police and firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon in an open area near the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem, the Israel Police said in a statement.

Givat Shaul is located close to the entrance of the capital city.Earlier in the day, the area was closed off to prevent injuries, and the roads in and near the area were also closed temporarily. Roads have since been reopened, the Israel Police said.
