A man was killed on Route 1 at the Harel junction near Jerusalem on Thursday, after he stepped out of his vehicle on the side of the highway and was struck by a passing vehicle.Police said the man had stepped out of his vehicle on the shoulder in order to change a flat tire when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.MDA paramedics pronounced the approximately 25-year-old man dead on the scene.Police are investigating the incident.
