Syria accuses Turkey of working with terror groups

Turkey is working with Islamic extremist organizations, Bouthaina Shaaban, the political and media adviser to the President of Syria, said during her speech at a commemorative activity for the "International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" held in National Museum in Damascus on Tuesday.
"This is a very serious matter. Russia disclosed information connecting the Erdogan government with terrorist organizations. There were cases of illegal smuggling of arms and oil committed by them especially in Iraq and Syria. Research by Columbia University also showed that there were oil trades between the Erdogan government and terrorist organizations," said Shaaban.
She said that she believes Turkey shot down the Russian fighter jet recently in an act of revenge after its links with terrorist organizations were revealed.
"The fact that Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet, killing the pilots cruelly, showed that the Erdogan government is irritated and impatient at having its secrets revealed. Turkey will behave badly over the next year. History will prove that Turkey is fighting against Syria with the help of some countries and extremist organizations in this region," Shaaban said.
