A 15-year-old Palestinian boy attempted to enter Hebron's Cave of Patriarchs with a knife hidden under his shirt on Tuesday morning, according to Israeli Border Police.

According to a statement, the boy's behavior raised suspicions of Border Police officers stationed at the site. Officers requested that the boy raise his shirt where it was discovered that he was concealing a knife.

When the suspect pulled out the knife, police officers aimed their weapons at the 15-year-old and successfully arrested him without firing a shot.

This is the third time in six days that a Palestinian has been found to be carrying a knife at the Cave of Patriarchs.

The suspect has been transferred to security forces for questioning.
