49 have died, 152 have been hospitalized due to drowning in summer 2018

Since the beginning of the 2018 summer swimming season, 49 people in Israel have drowned to death and 152 more have been hospitalized due to drowning, MDA data released Thursday shows.
The incidents occurred in beaches, ponds, and water reservoirs, and the fatalities include 13 children under the age of ten.
19 of the cases happened in private pools, and 30 in public pools, five in Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galileee) and eight in the Dead Sea.
