BEIRUT - Air strikes and rocket attacks by Syrian government forces west of Aleppo killed five rescue workers overnight, a monitoring group and volunteers working nearby said.

The raids hit a center for the Syrian Civil Defence, also known as the "White Helmets", who work as first responders in opposition-held territory where medical infrastructure has broken down.
