Anti-Trump demonstrators hold candlelight vigil outside White House

Hundreds of anti-Trump protesters gathered outside the White House on Saturday evening in a peaceful candlelight vigil to demonstrate against the election of Donald Trump as US president, who they say threatens their civil and human rights.
Some of the demonstrators recited poetry and sang songs of peace and love while some held up signs reading 'Love trumps hate'.
Organizers said they wanted to build on the momentum after several nights of protests triggered by the real-estate mogul's surprise win in Tuesday's presidential election.
Since Trump's victory, demonstrators in several cities have decried the Republican's campaign promises to restrict immigration and register Muslims, as well as allegations that the former reality-TV star sexually abused women.
