Bennett to return to Knesset

Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett will be returning to the Knesset Thursday in place of MK Yinon Magal, who resigned due to sexual harassment charges. Bennett had quit the Knesset under the parameters of a bill that passed in June, which allows a minister to quit in order to allow the next candidate on a party list to enter but to return at their will.
When Bennett quit the Knesset in October, he was replaced by MK Shuli Moallem-Refael, who has since replaced Magal as head of the Bayit Yehudi faction. Magal was supposed to be replaced by the next name on the Bayit Yehudi list, former deputy education minister Avraham Wortzman, but Wortzman decided to remain in his current job as head of the Aleh Negev rehabilitation facility. Bayit Yehudi director-general Nir Orbach, who was next on the list after Wortzman, will remain in his current role.
