A proposed law that would bar entry to Israel to proponents of any boycott against the country has further advanced in the Knesset.

The Knesset Interior Committee on Monday authorized the bill for a first reading.

The initiative by MK Yinon Magal of Bayit Yehudi would bar any non-citizens or residents encouraging steps to embargo Israel from obtaining a visa or residency permit.
