Bob Dylan will not attend Nobel prize ceremony

Singer/songwriter Bob Dylan will not be attending the Nobel prize ceremony in December to accept the award he won.

According to AFP, the Swedish Academy released a statement on Wednesday saying Dylan would not be attending due to "other commitments."

The statement added that "the Swedish Academy received a personal letter from Bob Dylan yesterday where he explained that he could not make himself available in December and leave to Stockholm to accept the Nobel prize in literature."
